Re-Run of 123 Cake

I am finally coming up for air out of the sea of boxes and packing paper. Moving is not so bad it is the unpacking and re-organizing of our lives that seems to take the time. As I feel guilty for not taking time out for the blog and leaving things suspended in mid air. I also have not been doing too much cooking lately unless it is out of a can or a package, which does not happen often. I have plums that need used up once again so I need to make the 123 Cake.

I will leave you with the recipe again, it was posted in March of this year.  Please accept my apology for the re-run. I will be back at it soon though.Plum_cake

1,2,3 Cake

  • 100gr Sugar
  • 200gr  Butter (Cool)
  • 300gr  Flour

Mix sugar, butter and flour that has been sieved. Mix until you can form a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour or two. Preheat the oven to 200 C.

Pat two thirds of the dough in tart pan ( 9" or 22.9cm) cover bottom and up the sides. Put the remaining dough aside for later.  Cover the base with your fruit I used plum approximately 4 ( the kids came to nibble as I sliced the plums)

When the base is covered with fruit, use the remaining dough break into crumbs and sprinkle over the fruit.

Bake until golden brown.  Mine took approximately 20-25 minutes keep an eye on it though.
